Inspiring personal story from #OnTracka founder about managing extreme challenges

It seems like a good time to share a story with you.

In April 2016, the world was literally about to crash around me. It was a Thursday afternoon and I was wearing a blue suit with my hair tied back as I sat in my office at the Family Court of Australia.

"In April 2016, the world was literally about to crash around me"

In my office, my phone started to ring and it was my doctor. On that call, he told me there was too much cancer throughout my body and that further surgery wasn't an option nor was there any reason to remain on the chemotherapy that had proven ineffective over the past 24 months.

Like I said, things were about to crash around me.

However, when it was thought that nothing could ever blossom from these dark and uncertain times. I had the most incredible life shifting moment and it resulted from one of my dear friends telling me that I was being too hard on myself and that I should go for a drink with him.

We had a drink. Well, we actually had several that night and it was during this time that life took the most radical shift. This shift was not because of the cancer that had been detected but rather the first encounter with my soul mate and now wife.

This story means so much to me as it taught me so much about the beautiful possibilities in life and I wanted to share this story for the significance it holds in times when everything seems to be crazy with #coronavirus.
